Role Description

As a Staff Product Manager for Transactions & Trust, you will own the full money path and the strategy behind it. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing every step from "Book Now" through financial settlement: checkout, payments, payouts, fees, insurance, credits, and dispute resolution.
• Deciding on insurance policies by region, including coverage verification and pricing.
• Building a fee structure that is understandable for both guests and operators.
• Overseeing credits, changes, and disputes related to trip modifications.
• Leading the integration of a single review system across both brands.
• Focusing on core business outcomes such as checkout conversion, payment success, and payout accuracy.
• Making hard tradeoffs between guest protection and operator fairness.
• Influencing cross-functional teams to align on shared goals.
• Mentoring other product managers and improving product work processes.

Qualifications

• Experience owning strategy for checkout, payments, or payouts in a two-sided marketplace.
• Ability to hit ambitious OKRs that cross team lines.
• Experience unblocking decisions with real stakes involving legal, finance, or leadership.
• Skill in making pricing or fees transparent without losing revenue.
• Experience designing policy as a product.
• Proven ability to mentor and improve the performance of other PMs.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with insurance products, embedded insurance, or coverage verification.
• Experience with payment processors, marketplace payouts, or split payments.
• Familiarity with configurable fee or pricing systems.
• Knowledge of chargeback and dispute operations.
• Experience migrating live transactions between platforms.
• Familiarity with review and reputation systems.
• Experience in travel, rentals, or local-services marketplaces at scale.
• Comfort with pulling your own data.
