Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager, Learning Intelligence to pioneer the platform and data foundations of our next-generation educational software ecosystem. In this role, you will lead the technical realization and execution of the roadmap transforming our supplemental content resources into an AI-powered, context-aware Tier 1 HQIM learning pathways ecosystem.

Operating deep in technical planning and execution, you will own the technical product lifecycle for our AI curation engine, external data ingestion pipelines, and adaptive recommendation algorithms, and collaborate as an execution partner with product management, engineering architecture, UX/LD, research, and data analysis teams within the structured Learning Intelligence Infrastructure (LII) framework. Your mission is to build a dynamic system that bridges data between supplemental curricula, core curricula, and assessment systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with business product management to support the platform engineering roadmap, contributing to technical specifications for interoperability & identity workflows that serve business PM requirements.
• Serve as the Technical Product PM Lead and key operational partner for our Learning Intelligence Infrastructure Initiative (LII), partnering closely with the initiative's primary Co-leads (Engineering Architecture, Data & Analysis, and Research) to translate architectural requirements, learner profiles, and data requirements into executable platform roadmaps.
• Partner with Engineering Architecture to translate interoperability, report metrics, and data mappings into clear, executable technical product backlogs.
• Facilitate alignment across Learning Experience & Design, curriculum and content integration SMEs, and technical teams, partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Research, User Experience, and Data & Analytics (DnA) to drive strategy and delivery of accurate, explainable, privacy-aware systems that meet technical requirements and educator and learner needs.
• Define use cases, success criteria, guardrails, and phased implementation plans for AI-powered capabilities across curriculum metadata, learning analytics, reporting, and system-to-system workflows, ensuring alignment with the outcomes framework and persona decision maps.
• Analyze outcomes and support program decisions to implement technical enhancements to student learner profiles, automated recommendation systems, and growth predictive models grounded in the research team’s validation frameworks.
• Own technical product management planning and execution, bridging business goals with technical solutions.
• Build roadmaps for platform capabilities that may not always be visible to end users, broker product decisions with stakeholders, and establish iterative objectives.
• Clarify business use cases, importance, and impact on customer experience. Translate ambiguous stakeholder needs into clear product requirements.
• Coordinate who needs to be involved across departments, at the appropriate time, and organize feedback.
• Support dual track continuous learning by incorporating customer questions, suggestions, and issues into product backlogs and product improvement plans.
• Identify and coordinate response to program/delivery risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in technology, engineering, business, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of technical product management experience, with at least 3+ years specifically leading data science initiatives using machine learning or deeply algorithmic data products.
• Ability to provide highly credible leadership with engineering teams translating technical schemas and system architecture into product specifications, roadmaps, and integration sequencing.
• Implemented agentic AI systems for customer-facing product experiences.
• Direct experience integrating data between platforms collaborating with cross-functional governance structures to support data quality standards, metadata validation, and interoperability policies.
• Demonstrated ability to write concise technical requirements and documentation. Distill concise, complete, and actionable communications to resolve complex and technical decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Motivate and lead across organizational boundaries/titles, applying persuasion, negotiation, and compromise to resolve conflict.
• Ability to adapt to changes in business objectives and priorities, as part of a fast-growing company. Be a life-long learner who is results and action-oriented.
