Role Description

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager, Marketplace & Partner Ecosystem to lead the strategy, development, and operation of our Vultr Marketplace - the platform where independent software vendors and technology partners publish, distribute, and monetize their solutions on Vultr’s global cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a proven product leader with deep technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, partner platforms, and software delivery models. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require taking end-to-end ownership of the partner and customer experience—from software vendor onboarding to solution validation, automated deployment, supportability, and continuous platform improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the Marketplace & Partner Ecosystem, including partner onboarding, solution packaging, deployment automation, and lifecycle management across Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage solutions.
• Establish clear product principles, technical standards, security validation processes, and lifecycle policies for third-party software running on Vultr.
• Design intuitive, repeatable onboarding journeys and self-service portal workflows for independent software vendors and technology partners.
• Own the end-to-end customer journey from solution discovery through production deployment, ensuring clear visibility into pricing, infrastructure requirements, and deployment status.
• Translate customer, partner, and operational needs into detailed product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner closely with engineering and UX teams throughout discovery, design, development, launch, and iteration, balancing immediate vendor enablement with reusable platform capabilities.
• Ensure partner solutions integrate effectively with Vultr core infrastructure, including networking, Kubernetes, databases, load balancing, and storage services.
• Establish operational feedback loops to review failed deployments and support incidents, converting recurring issues into prioritized platform improvements.
• Provide product direction to a dedicated cross-functional team supporting partner recruitment, onboarding, deployment assistance, and ecosystem health.
• Track and report on ecosystem success metrics, including partner onboarding velocity, deployment success rates, solution quality, customer adoption, and platform-influenced usage.

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, enterprise software, software marketplaces, or platform ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience owning an end-to-end technical product area from strategic roadmap through delivery and operation.
• Strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and networking.
• Proven track record of converting complex partner and customer workflows into scalable platform tooling and clear product requirements.
• Direct experience collaborating with software vendors, technology partners, enterprise customers, and cross-functional engineering and UX teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in drafting PRDs, product strategies, workflows, and launch plans.
• Experience with cloud image packaging, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, or managed service integrations is preferred.
• Familiarity with software licensing models, entitlements, usage metering, and private offers is a plus.
• Experience with cloud marketplace product management, partner programs, or platform ecosystems (AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace, GCP Marketplace, or comparable).

Compensation

$185,000 - $205,000. Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
