[Hiring] Senior Product Engineer - Mobile & AI Systems @Rentvine

Role Description

We are looking for a senior-level engineer to help evolve our mobile platform and modernize how we build software using AI. While mobile expertise is valuable, we are prioritizing strong React fundamentals and a systems-oriented mindset over deep native specialization.

This role is ideal for an engineer who:

You’ll work closely with the existing mobile lead (greenfield architect of the app) and partner with product, backend, and design to shape both the application and how we build it.

You will partner with the Mobile Engineering Lead to evolve AI-augmented engineering practices and implement platform direction.

What you'll do

• Product & Architecture
  • Design and build scalable features across multiple React Native applications
  • Contribute to shared architecture across mobile codebases
  • Own complex front-end flows end-to-end
  • Ensure performance, maintainability, and clean state management
  • Collaborate closely with Mobile Engineering Lead to implement and evolve architectural direction across mobile platform
• AI-Augmented Engineering
  • Drive implementation of AI-assisted workflows aligned with mobile platform strategy
  • Contribute to internal tooling that uses LLMs for:
    • Code generation
    • Test generation
    • Automated reviews
    • Documentation synthesis
  • Explore structured AI workflows that improve engineering velocity
  • Contribute technical insights that inform long-term platform capability growth
• Systems Thinking & Developer Experience
  • Improve CI/CD workflows & development feedback loops
  • Enhance code quality tooling & automation
  • Contribute to architecture documentation designed for both humans and AI systems
  • Help establish prompt testing and AI evaluation practices
  • Identify opportunities to reduce engineering friction and improve delivery speed
• Collaboration & Ownership
  • Work closely with Mobile Engineering Lead to implement and evolve architectural direction
  • Mentor mid-level engineers and support knowledge sharing
  • Drive technical initiatives from idea to production

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in React, practical experience with TanStack
• Solid experience with React Native or willingness to ramp quickly
• Deep understanding of state management patterns
• Experience building and shipping production front-end systems
• Strong TypeScript experience
• Experience working in modern CI/CD environments
• Systems-level thinking - ability to design beyond the component level

Requirements

• Highly Valued (But Not Strictly Required)
• Experience integrating AI/LLMs into applications or workflows
• Familiarity with:
  • OpenAI / Anthropic APIs
  • Tool calling / structured outputs
  • RAG systems
  • Prompt evaluation
• Experience building internal developer tooling
• Experience with codebase-wide refactoring initiatives
• Background in platform engineering or developer experience optimization
• Experience designing shared design systems across web and mobile
