Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payments Product Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Payments Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of our payments products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support.
- Develop and execute the payments product strategy, including defining the product roadmap and feature prioritization.
- Conduct routine tasks with little direction and operate with moderate supervision.
- Lead product requirements and work daily with agile teams to define user stories and features (Epics).
- Assist in shaping individual product requirements in support of an existing product strategy.
- Accountable for driving the full product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life.
- Act as a subject matter expert on payments technology, industry regulations, and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to address inquiries, resolve issues, and gather feedback.
- Manage the backlog for sprint teams, partnering with R&D/scrum master in prioritization.
- Measure and report outcome metrics (OKRs) that align with product strategy and business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 2+ years of Payments Industry or related field as Product Owner or Product Management.
- Strong understanding of payments technology, including payment gateways, processors, card networks, and alternative payment methods.
- Growth-minded, self-motivated, and solution-focused.
- Empathetic & user-led/data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in Agile software/DevOps methodologies.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude to translate business requirements into actionable user stories.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the payments industry is a plus.
- Track record of product execution in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Experience in creating user stories and working with R&D to drive end-to-end execution of product releases.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
