Role Description

The Senior Manager, Insurance Product, Employer Subsidized and New Growth Platforms, leads the development and advancement of insurance lifestyle product concepts. These concepts include lifestyle-based offerings and employer-subsidized or hybrid market solutions, and health solutions.

You will operate as a hands-on innovation leader, responsible for translating corporate strategy into scalable product concepts, leading pilot development, and driving execution from brainstorming through launch. The Senior Manager also plays a critical role in shaping the product roadmap, expanding into new market opportunities, while guiding matrixed reporting junior team members.

You will report into the Vice President, Insurance Product Innovation and Development.

Responsibilities

• Product Innovation & Concept Development
  • Lead development of new insurance product concepts and health solutions (e.g., industry-targeted solutions, employer-subsidized offerings, ICHRA products)
  • Translate enterprise and product strategy into early-stage designs, value propositions, and business cases
  • Identify opportunities based on member needs, health disparities, employer demand, and market trends
  • Promote concept refinement toward scalable, market-ready solutions
  • Incorporate employer-subsidized and hybrid market opportunities into the innovation pipeline and strategic roadmap
• Lifestyle & Employer-Subsidized Solutions
  • Analyze development of employer-subsidized insurance solutions, including ICHRA aligned and hybrid ACA/employer models
  • Identify opportunities to expand into employer-adjacent markets through partnerships with employers, brokers, and third-party platforms
  • Design flexible product constructs that allow employer contributions while maintaining QHP compliance and scalability
  • Evaluate go-to-market strategies for employer targeted offerings, including partnership with ICHRA growth office to support distribution, positioning, and value proposition development
• Market & Opportunity Analysis
  • Interpret market, competitive, and member analysis to inform innovation priorities
  • Support opportunity sizing and business case inputs for new concepts
  • Define clear right to win and difference strategies at market and segment levels
  • Analyze employer market dynamics, broker influence, and distribution channel shifts to inform product design and expansion strategies
• Team Coordination
  • Partner with product design, clinical, network, actuarial, corporate strategy, and growth teams
  • Coordinate inputs and timelines to move concepts from brainstorming to pilot and launch
  • Partner with Sales, Broker Strategy, Market Leadership and Growth teams to agree on employer-facing solution design and market specific growth strategies
  • Support documentation and partner agreement efforts
• Pilot Execution & Learning
  • Support execution of pilots and early-stage programs
  • Track performance, gather insights, and summarize insights
  • Recommend whether to refine, pivot, or discontinue important product concepts
  • Lead different teams to develop requirements and support implementation
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 6+ years of experience in healthcare, health insurance, product management (ACA or Small Group), or corporate strategy
• Experience supporting product development, consumer journey mapping, improvement plans, or pilot programs
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
