Role Description

The Sr Lead Product Manager owns the full product lifecycle strategy and management for strategic Infrastructure Services product families, advanced services, and enterprise modernization initiatives. This role is responsible for:

• Defining long-term product direction
• Shaping future-state capabilities
• Aligning business objectives with execution
• Leading cross-functional collaboration across business, engineering, architecture, design, operations, and delivery teams

This role requires advanced product management depth and the ability to operate beyond a single-product focus. The Sr Lead Product Manager:

• Translates highly ambiguous business challenges into actionable product strategies
• Ensures solutions meet reliability, efficiency, scalability, performance, and customer experience objectives
• Influences senior leaders and guides strategic tradeoff decisions
• Moves critical initiatives forward across a highly matrixed organization

Main Responsibilities

• Product Strategy and Planning
  • Own full product lifecycle strategy and management for one or more strategic product families advanced services or modernization initiatives
  • Develop and execute long term product strategy through roadmaps, product guides, journey maps, use cases, business process models, and investment priorities
  • Refine strategic concepts into product capabilities, features, requirements, user acceptance criteria, MVPs, and measurable outcomes
  • Shape future state product direction across advanced connectivity domains
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate modernization opportunities, business value delivery sequencing, and strategic tradeoffs
  • Connect product strategy across initiatives to reduce silos and ensure capabilities are built for scale, reuse, and long-term enterprise value
• Customer Market and Business Understanding
  • Translate highly ambiguous business challenges into structured problem statements, strategic options, and actionable delivery work
  • Analyze architecture impacts, cross stack dependencies, customer insights, market trends, operational gaps, and product performance to guide strategic decisions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver products and capabilities that achieve reliability, efficiency, scalability, performance, and customer experience objectives
  • Evaluate how advanced services and modernization initiatives support revenue growth, operational transformation, market competitiveness, and future product differentiation
  • Bring a broad enterprise view to product decisions balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, financial impact, and organizational readiness
• Product Delivery and Execution
  • Facilitate solutioning workshops across software, API architecture, engineering, UX, operations, and business teams to drive consensus and remove barriers
  • Drive alignment across business, design, engineering, architecture, operational, and delivery teams to ensure successful execution and adoption of product capabilities
  • Present product vision, strategy, progress, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to drive API enabled designs and promote digital best practices
  • Use JIRA or similar Agile product delivery tools to define capabilities, manage backlog readiness, track dependencies, support cross-functional planning, and drive execution discipline
  • Lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment ensuring strategic initiatives continue to move forward
  • Operate as a senior product athlete who can flex across emerging business needs, advanced service opportunities, modernization programs, and executive priorities
• Performance and Risk Management
  • Measure product success through data driven insights, KPI analysis, customer outcomes, operational improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify risks, dependencies, issues, and decision points that may impact delivery, adoption, financial outcomes, or strategic alignment
  • Develop mitigation plans and guide cross-functional teams through tradeoff decisions
  • Use business cases, performance data, and strategic value assessments to inform prioritization and investment recommendations
  • Ensure product decisions support long term scalability, modernization, and enterprise-wide reuse where appropriate

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in product management supporting Enterprise Infrastructure Network Services
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience influencing large matrixed organizations
• Experience managing product portfolios, product families, strategic initiatives, or advanced services across cross-functional teams
• Strong technical acumen, data driven decision-making skills, and ability to measure business outcomes and solution impact
• Ability to connect product strategy, architecture, customer experience, operational readiness, and delivery execution
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, lead distributed teams effectively, and operate independently within established direction and priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior leaders and influence outcomes
• Strong relationship building and facilitation skills with experience leading cross-functional discussions and executive level decision making
• Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in complex environments
• Ability to operate as a strategic product athlete flexing across product domains, advanced services, modernization efforts, and future state initiatives

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Experience in telecom, cloud, edge services, SaaS platforms, managed services, digital transformation, or advanced connectivity services
• Familiarity with Optical, Ethernet, offnet network modernization, API enabled services, enterprise connectivity, or digital service enablement
• Product leadership experience modernizing legacy capabilities into digital first customer centric product experience
• Product management certifications or equivalent professional training
• Entrepreneurial innovation or transformation leadership experience
• Demonstrated success driving KPI improvements, ROI focused initiatives, operational improvements, and strategic business outcomes

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

• $132,232 - $151,310 in states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY
• $138,844 - $158,124 in states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI
• $145,456 - $166,940 in states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA
