Role Description
As Engineering Leader of the FinTech Team, you will play a crucial role in their mission, working closely with business stakeholders and the lead team to architect and construct Credit Risk policies and a decision-making platform for our new lending division, aimed at enhancing customer cash flow and bringing innovative tech strategies to moderate credit risk. Your expertise will be instrumental in augmenting their payments solutions and ERP Accounting Systems.
- Impact & Delivery: Drive delivery across FinTech Charters with a high-performing team that aligns with the company’s business objectives.
- People Management: Mentor managers/tech leads and retain talents, foster growth plans at each level of the team, and excel in a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Tech Influence: Build Credit & Risk Platforms and own technical directions and decisions along with tech leads.
- Strategy and Leadership: Spearhead in translating business requirements to tech solutions, strategize long-term engineering initiatives, and own staffing requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Build strong stakeholder relationships with nearby/distant teams, influence senior leaders, and collaborate effectively across departments to drive initiatives.
- Organisational Wide Impact: Contribute to the wider engineering culture, including developing best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines to be adhered to throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive with Business Acumen: Leverage expertise to improve customer touchpoints in FinTech Charters and make decisions aligned with the company's vision, contributing to strategic growth.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies to inform decision-making and ensure the engineering teams remain competitive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of managing a team, proven experience as a manager of managers and technical lead, with a strong track record of leading successful projects from inception to delivery.
- Experience with building Fintech Products; Credit Risk Assessment Products would be a bonus.
- Proficiency in System Architecture and Design with knowledge of OLTP, OLAP databases.
- Good understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) and streaming data tools such as Kafka, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in the project management process and techniques such as staff planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts, effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
