[Hiring] Senior Associate, Product Owner Wealth Experience @New York Life

Role Description

We’re seeking a Product Owner to support the design and delivery of the wealth experience within NYL360. NYL360 is New York Life’s connected digital experience for the field, bringing together the tools, information, and insights advisors use every day in one place. You will own the effort to ensure wealth is prominently represented, thoughtfully designed, and easy to understand within the platform, in direct support of New York Life’s goal of Protection Powered Growth.

• Shape the Work Through Prototypes
  • Partner with Design to turn high-level epics into working prototypes.
  • Define & codify “what good looks like” for wealth products and tools.
  • Refine the stories into clear scope and acceptance criteria for engineering.
  • Keep the backlog ready for weekly sprint planning.
• Coordinate Across Business, Field & Technology Teams
  • Work in partnership with Design, Engineering, Data & Testing teams.
  • Work directly with advisors and wealth product partners to validate workflows.
  • Flag dependencies, risks, and open decisions early.
• Keep Weekly Delivery Moving
  • Participate in weekly sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Answer questions and close requirement gaps in the moment.
  • Use AI tools in your own product work.
  • Track sprint commitments, follow-ups, and open items.
  • Capture decisions and trade-offs as they happen.
• Support User Acceptance Testing & Quality
  • Build test scenarios based on real advisor wealth workflows.
  • Validate delivered functionality in the QA environment.
• Support Readiness & the Field Feedback Loop
  • Contribute to communications, demos, and release documentation.
  • Support pilots and phased releases, gather feedback, and translate it into product improvements.
  • Sort feedback and production issues into usability concerns, defects, enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience in product ownership, digital delivery, or a related role preferred.
• Strong ability to translate user feedback and operational pain points into a clear direction.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams in a complex environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools such as Jira preferred.
• Uses AI tools in day-to-day work.
• Strong attention to detail around data accuracy, business rules, and role-based requirements.
• Understanding of wealth management products, processes, or the advisor/agent experience is a plus.
