Role Description

As Salesforce Platform Owner, you will own Salesforce end to end for our Revenue Operations and Marketing teams. You will be the person who keeps the platform running well day to day and the person who decides how it should evolve. You will report to our Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with our Marketing Operations Manager and revenue leaders partnering with them frequently on campaigns, reporting, and the systems, data and processes that power our go-to-market.

• Gathering requirements, designing scalable solutions, setting the architecture and managing the product roadmap.
• Hands-on administration: configuration, reporting, end-user training, integrations, security and data integrity.
• Work with functional leaders to identify, define and deliver changes in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Requirements

• Own the configuration, design, functionality, data integrity and end-user support of our Salesforce platform.
• Manage the Salesforce roadmap, balancing new capability with day-to-day support and continuous improvement.
• Design and maintain the architecture of our Salesforce org, including the data model, object relationships, automation strategy and integration patterns.
• Assess when business changes call for a change in structure or design, and lead that redesign.
• Make build versus buy decisions, and evaluate new Salesforce features, AppExchange packages and connected tools.
• Document the system architecture, data model and key design decisions.
• Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, validation rules, Flows, approval processes and installed packages.
• Build new features in Sales Cloud and extend the platform with Flow Apex or Lightning Web Components.
• Maintain user roles and profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules and security settings.
• Establish and run change control and release management, including sandbox strategy, testing and deployment standards.
• Identify production risks and areas for improvement, then prioritise, design and lead the successful rollout and adoption of new processes.
• Manage data imports, de-duplication and clean-up, and set the standards that keep our data accurate.
• Lead our implementation of Agentforce, shaping how AI agents in Salesforce support our sales and marketing teams.
• Manage the integration of applications connected to Salesforce, including but not limited to Marketo, Bizible, Chorus, Intercom and Claude.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, propose solutions that use Salesforce functionality.
• Partner closely with our Marketing Operations Manager, and collaborate with Revenue Operations, Marketing and other business stakeholders.
• Partner with our revenue leaders to gain an understanding of our renewals and sales process.
• Develop and deliver end-user training, and create and maintain all training materials and guides for Salesforce business processes.
