[Hiring] Product Partner Manager @Shopify

Role Description

Join the Product Partnerships team at Shopify and become a catalyst in the fintech and payments revolution. This isn't just a role; it's a mission to redefine commerce through strategic alliances. Think acquirers, banks, fintechs, PSPs, and gateways. Your expertise will shape the future of Shopify's Payments Product areas and our Payments Platform ecosystem.

• Cultivate deep insights into the payments ecosystem, supporting Shopify's global product strategies through diverse partnerships and integrations.
• Master Shopify's merchant services products, collaborating with our Product team to leverage third-party solutions.
• Steer relationships with leading fintech/payment giants, identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities across networks, wallets, and other payment verticals.
• Own the entire deal process from initial qualification to launch, ensuring success through clear KPIs and growth targets.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create impactful co-marketing campaigns with defined goals and KPIs.
• Engage partners with product updates and QBRs to amplify Shopify's brand and thought leadership.
• Navigate contract negotiations and renewals, adapting to changing business priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and implementing partnerships within fintech, commerce, technology, SaaS/BaaS, or financial services.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying ideas across all levels.
• Proven experience in collaborative product development with strategic partners in the payments space.
• Strong negotiating skills to drive positive-sum outcomes.
• Robust cross-functional collaboration skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
• Self-directed, thriving on change, and able to prioritize effectively in a remote environment.
• Bonus: Experience managing complex product partnerships with large companies.
• Bonus: Startup experience where getting things done was paramount.
