Role Description

The Product Owner for our Encoder solution will be accountable for product management duties to support our Encoder solution, defining the why, who, and what of the product. This role will own a product in its entirety, having the final word on strategic and tactical product decisions. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the product backlog and maximizing the value the product creates for users, customers, and the business.
• Championing a vision and meeting with stakeholders and customers.
• Knowing when to say no.

Essential Functions include:

• Define the overall vision in partnership with Product Strategy, Product Development, QA, and General Manager.
• Translate the vision of the Product Strategy into user stories.
• Implement work items, which include:
• Customer Delighter: Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Storyteller: Articulate what transforms a story into a product feature.
• Delegator: Create safety and accountability by delegating tasks.
• Knowledge Broker: Enable collaboration by connecting developers with the right people.
• Conflict Resolver: Engage in difficult situations to mediate solutions.
• Effective Escalator: Provide feedback to Product Strategy and General Managers if goals are misaligned.
• Manage and prioritize the backlog to ensure it is stocked with clearly expressed items.
• Regularly update and refine the backlog with the squad.
• Be a liaison between product and development as needed.
• Collect feedback from users, customers, and stakeholders on product increments.
• Manage interdependencies between squad/team.
• Enable collaboration and remove impediments for the squad.
• Take ownership of the work product and its delivery.
• Travel to client sites and conferences to facilitate discussions and collect user feedback.
• Plan and deliver presentations to clients and potential customers.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience.
• Understanding of Facility and Profee coding best practices.
• Ability to understand product business cases and functionality creation/adoption by clients.
• Experience communicating/presenting directly to clients.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
• Able to act both independently and as a team member.
