Role Description
Satair (an Airbus services company) is looking for a Product Manager - Commercial Aircraft to join our Competitive Product Management department based in Herndon, VA or Peachtree City, GA. As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing the overall business performance of your product lines. Your responsibilities span the entire product lifecycle, from formulating the go-to-market strategy to overseeing end delivery. Collaboration with diverse cross-functional teams is integral to your role, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving success.
- Driving sales revenue and achieving margin targets in collaboration with the Commercial team.
- Developing strong relationships with Supplier Business Partners for your product lines, ensuring a successful and enduring partnership continuation with Satair.
- Working closely with the supply chain department to optimize inventory availability and provide optimal service to our customers.
- Identifying and developing business development activities through increased product scope, territory and services expansion.
- Serving as the anchor for the OEM partner within our organization, fostering a deep connection to ensure operational and business support.
- Drive and support improvement projects to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Actively manage the implementation of marketing campaigns and sales plans for your product line.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- 5+ years of B2B experience in a similar role (sales, marketing, product/program management or supply chain).
- Authorized to Work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization
- Strong business acumen combined with good analytical skills.
- Ability to act strategically and work as a team player, work with a global organization.
- Proven track record of managing key programs or accounts, defining and implementing go to market strategies and collaborating with external partners including conducting formal presentations.
- Proficient with BI tools and experienced user of Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite (Spreadsheet, Slide and Google Studio).
- Good communication skills, fluent in English both spoken and written.
- Diplomatic sense and open/‘out-of-silo’ mind-set, ability to build successful relations across functions and with all stakeholders.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and positively influence others towards a common goal.
Requirements
- 10% Domestic and International Travel involved.
- Relevant experience in the aviation industry (OEM, Airlines or MRO) is a plus.
- Proficient use of SAP or other ERP systems a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Onsite or remote: 60% / 40% per company policy.
- Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
- Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
- Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. 10-15% max.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
