Role Description

HelpGrid is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our growing Product team. We’re particularly interested in someone who understands how to build products that drive engagement, participation, performance, and retention across flexible workforces. Experience with gamification, rewards, incentives, or behavioral design is highly relevant. This is a hands-on role for a product thinker who can turn ambiguous problems into scalable solutions, balancing user needs, business goals, data, and technology to deliver measurable impact. You’ll work closely with Product leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, prioritize solutions, and drive initiatives from discovery through launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Discovery & Strategy
  • Understand business and user problems and translate them into clear product opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery, research, and analysis to identify and validate potential solutions.
  • Challenge assumptions and contribute ideas that improve the product and the broader business.
  • Balance user needs, business priorities, technical considerations, and scalability when making product decisions.
• Product Ownership & Delivery
  • Own product initiatives from discovery through development, launch, and iteration.
  • Define requirements, workflows, and priorities in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
  • Create clear documentation and ensure teams have the context needed to execute effectively.
  • Identify dependencies, edge cases, and potential risks before and during development.
  • Monitor progress and adjust priorities as business needs evolve.
• User Experience
  • Advocate for simple, intuitive experiences that help users accomplish their goals.
  • Translate user needs and behaviors into practical product and UX decisions.
  • Work closely with design and development teams to ensure solutions are both useful and feasible.
• Data & Product Insights
  • Use data and qualitative feedback to understand problems and inform decisions.
  • Define meaningful measures of product performance and evaluate outcomes after launch.
  • Use insights to identify opportunities for improvement and future iterations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate product decisions, priorities, and trade-offs clearly.
  • Keep initiatives moving in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in Product Management or a closely related product role.
• Experience owning product initiatives from discovery through delivery.
• Strong product thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex problems into clear, practical solutions.
• Strong understanding of user experience and product usability.
• Comfortable using data and insights to support product decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in one or more of the following environments is highly valued:
  • Gig economy or marketplace businesses.
  • Workforce management or scheduling platforms.
  • Operational or B2B technology platforms.
  • Consumer products focused on engagement, rewards, or user behavior.
  • Products involving complex workflows, automation, or distributed users.

We’re looking for a curious, commercially minded Product Manager who enjoys figuring things out. You should be comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, connecting the dots across different parts of the business, and turning ambiguity into action. This role is best suited to someone who wants genuine ownership and is energized by solving difficult problems rather than simply managing a backlog.
