Role Description
This role involves being a Product Manager at Metabase, focusing on AI-backed products and delivering user-aligned software.
- Develop deep knowledge and empathy for users' needs through reviewing existing issues, engaging in interviews, and evaluating quantitative data.
- Understand the underlying mechanics of the product at a technical level.
- Develop strategies for solving clusters of user needs and deliver actionable product documentation for designers and engineers.
- Steward projects forward, maintaining focus and momentum while appreciating technical constraints and UX considerations.
- Follow up on project outcomes, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Collaborate with the team, seeking and providing feedback, and pitching ideas for product advancement.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging ML/LLMs in the product through experimentation.
- Nurture the development of AI projects with strong quantified success criteria.
- Elevate the PM team’s knowledge of shipping and iterating on LLM features.
Responsibilities don’t include:
- Managing people, writing code, making mocks, using JIRA.
Qualifications
- 3+ years shipping ML products as part of a Product+Eng team.
- 5+ years as a PM in a technical environment, shipping user-facing software.
- Demonstrable experience leveraging LLMs in complex workflows.
Requirements
- Excited to engage with LLM-backed projects.
- Able to stay up-to-date with developments in LLMs and adjacent technologies.
- A thorough thinker, diligent with details while seeing the big picture.
- Appreciative of clean user experiences.
- Able to break down visions into small, actionable steps.
- Motivated to work asynchronously in a global team.
- More interested in the Product than the Management part of Product Management.
