[Hiring] Product Management Lead @HARMAN International

YDay - HARMAN International is hiring a remote Product Management Lead. πŸ’Έ Salary: unspecified πŸ“Location: India

Role Description

The SBU Connectivity Product Management Lead is the portfolio-level owner for product management, product evolution, go-to-market orchestration, and lifecycle value realization across SBU Connectivity. The role consolidates the former product-specific Business Lead responsibilities into one Product Management organization while maintaining distinct product lines for telematics and connectivity offerings and clear interfaces with the Global Business Lead for overall commercial/business ownership.

You will translate market, customer, technology, and RFQ signals into a coherent portfolio roadmap, investment priorities, differentiated product propositions, and executable business cases. Drive a product-first operating model that increases reuse, reduces bespoke development, improves R&D return, and strengthens global market adoption through close partnership with:

  • NPI
  • Systems/Solution Architecture
  • Product Engineering
  • Global RFQ/Early Engagement
  • Global Delivery
  • Finance
  • Sales
  • Global Business Lead

You will lead a globally distributed team of product managers and regional GTM product managers and influence a broad matrix spanning engineering, architecture, delivery, finance, sales, marketing, and customer teams. Success requires enterprise-level judgment across multiple product lines, regions, customers, investment horizons, and technology generations.

Manage the global Product Management organization spanning telematics/connectivity product lines and regional GTM product management in the Americas, Europe, Japan, India/APAC, and other priority markets. You will build a strong product management discipline with common methods for:

  • Roadmaps
  • Business cases
  • Product requirements
  • Lifecycle governance
  • GTM readiness
  • Portfolio decision making

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field; advanced technical or business degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in automotive, connectivity, technology or adjacent industries, including significant leadership responsibility across product management, business development, GTM and product commercialization.
  • 10+ years leading senior, globally distributed teams and complex matrix organizations across multiple regions, customers and product lines.
  • Demonstrated ownership of multi-product roadmaps, product lifecycle decisions, business cases, pricing/value propositions, investment prioritization and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to balance revenue, margin, R&D investment, product reuse, time-to-market and long-term portfolio value.
  • Broad understanding of automotive connectivity and telematics technologies including cellular/5G, V2X, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/GNSS, cloud/edge services, cybersecurity, OTA and automotive-grade hardware/software platforms.
  • Proven ability to convert customer and market needs into differentiated, scalable product propositions while resisting unnecessary bespoke complexity.
  • Executive communication and influencing skills with credibility across customers, senior leadership, engineering, sales, finance, partners and globally distributed teams.
  • Ability to make high-quality decisions under ambiguity and lead transformation across organizational boundaries without relying solely on direct authority.

Requirements

  • MBA or advanced degree paired with a technical undergraduate degree (Bonus Points).
  • Experience leading telematics/connectivity portfolios spanning mobility segments (Bonus Points).
  • Experience with ecosystem partnerships, new business models, software/services monetization and global OEM commercialization (Bonus Points).

Benefits

  • Flexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location.
  • Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.).
  • Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University.
  • Competitive wellness benefits.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • β€œBe Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program.
  • An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development.
