[Hiring] Principal Product Manager, Ads @TeamSnap

Role Description

TeamSnap is hiring a Principal Product Manager, Ads to reimagine and build an advertising solution for the next generation of our platform. This is a unique and rare product opportunity where you'll be rebuilding advertising at a company that has already proven the demand.

You'll own the product side of that ad platform end to end, partnering with various teams across the company. Your responsibilities include:

• Own the advertising product roadmap end to end — from ad format and placement strategy through serving infrastructure, targeting, measurement, and reporting.
• Design and launch native, integrated ad experiences in partnership with Product Design.
• Own the serving and targeting stack: ad server implementation, trafficking and campaign delivery workflows, private marketplace deal setup, and first-party signal work.
• Build the measurement foundation: impression and viewability tracking, event instrumentation, third-party verification, and advertiser-facing reporting.
• Own ad quality, density, and user experience standards.
• Partner with Ad Sales and Revenue Operations to turn product capability into sellable inventory.
• Model and forecast the business, building volume, fill rate, and eCPM models.
• Own privacy and compliance requirements for ad targeting and data use, in partnership with Legal.
• Work in ambiguity, breaking down an undefined space into a sequenced plan.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in product management, with meaningful time spent on the publisher/supply side of the ads ecosystem.
• Direct experience launching or scaling ad products in a consumer mobile app (iOS and Android).
• Deep, hands-on technical fluency with the publisher ad stack.
• Command of the economics: fill rate, eCPM, RPM, sell-through, viewability, and latency.
• Experience working alongside a direct ad sales organization.
• Demonstrated judgment about ads and user experience.
• Strong data instincts and comfortable in product analytics tools.

Requirements

• Experience with rewarded video, pre-roll, or other video monetization formats.
• Background in a subscription business where advertising had to coexist with a paid tier.
• Working knowledge of children's privacy regimes — COPPA and its state-level equivalents.
• First-party data and audience signal work.
• Familiarity with sports, media, or a community-driven consumer platform.
