Role Description

As a Lead Product Engineer at bunny.net, you'll own the Developer Platform and lead a small team of engineers. You will design the way developers ship their workloads to the edge, focusing on:

• Designing primitives developers use, such as projects, environments, secrets, and logs.
• Shaping Developer Platform product direction from discovery through delivery and iteration.
• Spotting and resolving platform or product decisions that break the unified developer experience.
• Bringing clarity to hard problems and giving teams the context to make great decisions.
• Leading a small engineering team: setting direction, developing people, and giving clear feedback.
• Building alongside engineers across prototypes, APIs, dashboard, instrumentation, docs, and production code.
• Defining and measuring success, from first deploy to adoption and expansion.
• Working across Compute, Frontend, Design, and Product Marketing for a cohesive experience.

Qualifications

• Experience owning the full discovery → delivery → iteration loop at meaningful scale.
• Strong product judgment and ability to turn messy, ambiguous problems into meaningful outcomes.
• Comfort with data: knowing what to measure and when to run an experiment.
• Business and market literacy: understanding ICP, pricing, competition, and revenue drivers.
• Strong technical depth to challenge solutions and ship production changes.
• A high bar for quality, reliability, performance, security, and customer trust.
• A track record of helping others make better decisions and take ownership.
• Clear communication, high ownership, and low ego.
• AI fluency: using AI thoughtfully across various tasks while ensuring quality.

Requirements

• Experience building developer platforms, deployment tools, or products focused on developer experience.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and debugging workloads on similar platforms.
• Comfort in communicating with customers and understanding technology.
• Ability to think beyond individual features and see how products, systems, and teams fit together.
• Experience leading engineers: developing people and creating conditions for team decision-making.
