[Hiring] Head of Remarques @DSTLRY

Role Description

We’re looking for a Head of Remarques & Creator Experiences to build and scale one of the most exciting parts of Neon Ichiban: direct creator-to-fan connection. This role sits at the intersection of comics culture, creator relationships, and live experiences. You’ll lead how remarques, signatures, and collectible drops come to life—online and in the real world. You’ll be in the trenches with creators, at shows, and behind the scenes shaping how fans connect with the artists they love.

What You’ll Do

• Creator Partnerships
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard top-tier and emerging comic and manga creators
  • Build real relationships—this is not transactional outreach
  • Develop long-term creator pipelines for remarques, signatures, and exclusive drops
• Live & Convention Presence
  • Represent Neon Ichiban at Tier 1 and 2 shows (NYCC, SDCC, CXC etc.…where creators congregate to meet fans)
  • Run creator signings, remarque sessions, and fan activations
  • Bring the Neon Ichiban experience to life on the floor—high energy, fan-first
• Remarque & Signature Program
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of digital signatures and remarques
  • Create leads, onboard and train creators on how to make Remarques and post to the Neon Ichiban Marketplace
  • Collaborate with creators on formats, pricing, and availability
  • Ensure quality, authenticity, and a premium collector experience
• Drops & Collectibles Strategy
  • Plan and execute limited drops tied to creators, titles, and cultural moments
  • Work cross-functionally with product and marketing to launch seamlessly
  • Balance accessibility with collectibility—always thinking like a fan
• Platform Feedback Loop
  • Bring insights from creators and fans back into Product, Engineering, and roadmap
  • Help shape tools that make creator interaction simple, scalable, and meaningful

Qualifications

• 1+ years in creator relations, talent management, or fan engagement at a comics, manga, or entertainment company
• Real convention experience — you've run signings, activations, or artist alley operations at major shows
• Established relationships with comic and manga creators (or the ability to build them fast)
• Strong instincts for collectibles, limited editions, and what drives fan purchasing behavior
• Clear, direct communicator who can work across creative, product, and marketing teams
• Startup mentality — comfortable with a small team, fast pace, ambiguity, and building from scratch
• Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international)

Requirements

• Experience at a digital marketplace, publishing platform, or direct-to-consumer media company
• Background in e-commerce, digital goods, or collectible drops
• Familiarity with manga publishing or international creator ecosystems
• Prior experience managing live-stream or virtual fan events
• Working knowledge of project management and CRM tooling (Notion, Linear, or similar)
