[Hiring] Director, Product Management - Head of Cal AI @MyFitnessPal

Role Description

As Head of Cal AI, you will be responsible for an important growth area. You will operate as the owner of the business – defining strategy, roadmap, and outcomes. Reporting to our Chief Product Officer, you will take a product with strong traction and scale it to meaningful, durable growth.

MyFitnessPal is expanding beyond its flagship app into a portfolio of complementary products. This Director will lead one of those bets — an app with early traction and strong signal — and own the strategy, team, and roadmap to grow it from initial traction to meaningful scale, reaching millions of users who want to improve their health through better food choices.

This role is an individual contributor today, with the expectation that it may grow into a people leadership role in the future.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own and evolve the product strategy and roadmap for Cal AI, aligning squad-level work to company objectives and customer outcomes.
• Champion a culture of continuous discovery using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Drive alignment across product, engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market functions.
• Set the bar for how strategy, goals, and priorities are communicated.
• Be accountable for the performance of the Cal AI business.
• Contribute to the evolution of MyFitnessPal’s product operating model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product leadership, with demonstrated success leading high-velocity teams.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple squads or a product area.
• Track record scaling an early-stage product.
• Operator's mindset: decisive with incomplete information.
• Founder mentality: treat the business as your own.
• Proven ability to set and communicate strategy.
• Strong bias to action: make decisions quickly.
• Experience with A/B testing and data-informed iteration at scale.
• Experience leading consumer-facing product development for native iOS and Android apps.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
