[Hiring] Colocation Product Manager @DataBank (DataBank Holdings)

Role Description

A successful Colocation Product Manager is responsible for conducting product level analysis, providing direct commercial sales support, and developing overall product positioning and growth strategy. This includes:

• P&L assessment of the existing service portfolio
• Implementation of product improvements, internal processes, sales tools and/or market expansions
• Direct customer interaction and understanding of the marketplace
• Providing recommendations and sponsoring initiatives to grow the business
• Developing business metrics and communicating findings to senior leadership

This position requires a firm grasp of the product portfolio, competitive positioning, and industry market dynamics. Additionally, the ability to integrate quickly into CRM software and manage a complex workload in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment is critical.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of product definitions, positioning and value proposition development, pricing and commercial guidelines, competitive analysis
• Responsible for site and product level financial analysis and business recommendations resulting from such analysis
• Ownership of business cases for product enhancements and developments
• Responsibility for project managing product initiatives across stakeholder organizations
• Subject matter expert providing evangelism of product vision and thought leadership to progress product roadmap
• Enable sales organization with knowledge, resources, and materials to drive product growth strategy

Qualifications

• Undergraduate B.A. or B.S. degree. Focused area of study in Business, Finance or Economics preferred
• MBA and/or equivalent work experience with proven ability to work across functional boundaries
• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial product management experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior experience in colocation and/or managed services is beneficial
• Well-developed knowledge of financial analysis, interpretation, and reporting to include calculation of IRR, profit margin, EBITDA and payback period
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to write product definitions, reports and prepare presentations and proposals
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite with emphasis on Excel. Knowledge of Salesforce platform is a plus
• Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule and to work to meet strict deadlines with limited supervision
