[Hiring] Business Unit Lead - Protein Powders @The Quality Group

Role Description

Take ownership of the category strategy for Protein Powders for a leading brand in functional nutrition. We are looking for an experienced product marketing professional to take end-to-end responsibility for our protein powder products and strategy. The focus is on growth in the protein powders segment and in food retail. Start as soon as possible, on a remote contract with monthly on-site days at our office in Germany.

• You take full ownership of the protein powders category.
• You manage the existing portfolio and innovation pipeline and define the strategy for further growth in the category.
• You develop go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns across relevant channels, ensuring smooth execution and continuous performance monitoring.
• You work closely with cross-functional teams – particularly Product Development and Sales – to bring new products to market in line with brand positioning.
• You keep track of market trends, consumer insights, and competitive developments, translating data into actionable growth opportunities.
• You drive excellent product launches by creating comprehensive rollout plans and coordinating all related activities across departments.
• You are responsible for product-related budgets, develop pricing and forecast models, and analyze performance metrics to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• You bring 6+ years of experience in product marketing management in the FMCG industry.
• You have experience working for a sports nutrition brand.
• You have a proven track record of managing products across the full lifecycle – from idea to launch and beyond.
• You are skilled in portfolio strategy, consumer segmentation, and product positioning.
• You know how to plan and implement impactful go-to-market and activation strategies – including pricing and distribution.
• You think analytically, enjoy working with data, and are confident in market research, financial analysis, and planning.
• You communicate clearly, present ideas persuasively, and work effectively with different teams and levels of hierarchy.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced, agile environment and take ownership to deliver strong results.
