[Hiring] Business Product Owner Lead, PET Insurance @Nationwide

Role Description

As a Business Delivery Consultant, you will play a versatile and vital role in bridging business needs and IT solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the Product Owner for the Data & Analytics scrum team supporting the Pet line, where you will be accountable for maximizing the value delivered through analytics, reporting, and data-driven capabilities.

In this role, you will focus on understanding business processes, performance drivers, and strategic objectives, eliciting and refining business requirements, and translating them into clear, actionable product backlog items for development teams. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology partners, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business objectives while adhering to quality standards, delivery timelines, and enterprise data practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience delivering data and analytics solutions, including reporting, dashboards, insights, or data-driven capabilities that support business decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of data governance concepts, including data quality, controls, standards, and business ownership of data assets.
• Familiarity with data integration patterns and ETL processes, with the ability to translate business needs into analytics-ready data solutions.
• Experience supporting or working with EDI and API-based file transfer and integration solutions.
• Working knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architectures, reporting platforms, and analytics ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of agile and product-centric delivery practices, with experience working on or with scrum teams.
• Ability to effectively partner across business and technology teams, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical concepts and business priorities.

Requirements

• Eight plus years of dynamic experience in planning, designing and implementing company-wide business transformation initiatives.
• Extensive experience in functional, process, information and data modeling, data management and warehousing and applications integration.
• In-depth experience with process redesign methods and tools.
• Three years of experience in project management is preferred.
