[Hiring] Associate Product Manager @Tint

Role Description

This role is remote, with a strong preference for candidates in Seattle, SF Bay Area or NYC. We're hiring an Associate Product Manager to support one of our largest and most operationally complex product programs. You'll report to the Staff Product Manager who owns the program, and work day to day with a small pod of engineers plus ops, data, and partner-facing teammates. Externally, you’ll work with multiple audiences: external vendors, our partners (the platforms we embed with), their customers, who buy the insurance. Knowing which one you’re talking to matters.

This role sits at the operational core of the product. You'll support the product and the projects moving through it on the operational side:

• Watching the data behind it.
• Tracking the issues that come in.
• QA'ing what engineering builds against its acceptance criteria.
• Keeping everyone, both internally and on the partner side, current on what changed and why.

This is a first product role. You don't need to know our domain, our partners, or our stack, and we're not expecting prior PM experience or a technical background. We're looking for someone curious enough to dig, disciplined enough to close the loop, and unintimidated by unfamiliar systems. The rest we will teach you.

Location

This role is fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in the New York City, Seattle, or San Francisco Bay Area metros. Much of the team you’ll work with most closely is concentrated in those areas, and we’ll prioritize applicants who live there. You should also be able to travel for in-person collaboration roughly once per quarter.

Pay Transparency

Salary is based on work location, using three cost-of-labor tiers. Expected hiring ranges:

• Tier 1 (Bay Area, NYC, LA, Seattle) = $93,500 - $125,000
• Tier 2 (Boston, Austin, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, DC) = $84,150 - $112,500
• Tier 3 (Rest of the US) = $79,475 - $122,000

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
