We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Product Manager to drive the vision and roadmap for our reporting and analytics capabilities across our product portfolio. This role will transform how our customers access and utilize data to gain actionable insights and optimize their operations.
This role will primarily focus on the needs of the public sector, specifically K-12 schools, colleges/universities, and municipalities. However, it will also be important to consider strategic overlaps with the needs of private-sector industries.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of business intelligence best practices, and a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technologies like AI and machine learning to enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities:
As the Associate Product Manager, you will:
- Maintain a deep understanding of business intelligence (BI) best practices, tools, and methodologies, and apply this knowledge to the design and development of our reporting and analytics solutions.
- Become a subject matter expert on artificial intelligence (including LLMs and machine learning) and explore innovative ways to apply these technologies to reporting and analytics (e.g., predictive analytics, automated insights, intelligent recommendations).
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape related to BI products and identify opportunities to differentiate FMX's offerings.
- Become a subject matter expert on the key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting needs of our customer base. Proactively engage with prospects and customers within our key industries to understand their reporting and analytics requirements and how they use them in their operations.
- Develop and champion the product vision and roadmap for reporting and analytics within the FMX product portfolio. Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer value, market trends, and business objectives.
- Work closely with engineering, UX, project management, and other product managers to execute the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of new features and enhancements.
- Plan and execute the launch of new reporting and analytics offerings, including go-to-market strategies, collaboration with marketing on sales materials, and a release strategy for a successful launch.
- Create technical materials and training sessions for all sales and customer success teams to educate them on new reporting and analytics offerings. Collaborate with our product marketing team to create sales enablement sessions.
- Develop and implement strategies for migrating existing customers from legacy reporting systems to new offerings, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing workflow disruption. Coordinate with customer success teams to provide support and guidance during the migration process.
Projects you’ll manage:
- Dashboard Modernization: Review existing standard dashboards and develop a plan to modernize them into a more user-friendly, integrated product experience. While maintaining or exceeding feature parity, thoroughly analyze what metrics provide value to users and how they can be presented most effectively.
- Standardization of Custom Reports: Analyze custom dashboards used by FMX customers and determine which ones should be standardized and offered as pre-built reports.
- Custom Reporting Framework: Define the future of custom reporting at FMX. Determine the necessary configuration options and design a flexible framework that empowers users to create their own reports and visualizations.
- Smart Suggestions: Identify and define recommendations and insights that FMX should provide users and develop strategies for delivering these insights through our reporting and analytics products and AI technologies.
- ETL Process Review: Conduct a comprehensive review of FMX's ETL processes, comparing them against ETL best practices. Focus on areas such as bulk imports, bulk edits, data quality, and data archival.

Compensation:
- The base salary range for this position is expected to be $80,000-90,000 This position is also eligible for a bonus and commission.
