Role Description

The Veterinary Radiologist Resource Manager is responsible for managing VCR’s global team of board-certified veterinary radiologists, ensuring seamless 24/7/365 diagnostic coverage across all time zones. This role owns the full scheduling lifecycle, including:

• Building and maintaining radiologist shift schedules
• Managing coverage gaps and time-off requests
• Coordinating across a geographically distributed team
• Tracking hours worked and scan volume for each radiologist

The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, a strong communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, always-on environment where continuity of coverage directly impacts patient care.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in workforce management, resource scheduling, or operations coordination; experience managing remote or globally distributed teams strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience building and managing 24/7 coverage schedules across multiple time zones; experience in healthcare, teleradiology, or a similarly time-sensitive service environment a strong plus.
• Strong proficiency with scheduling tools, workforce management platforms, and spreadsheet-based tracking.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy; able to manage complex scheduling matrices and detailed tracking data simultaneously without errors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and maintain professional relationships with highly credentialed, independent-minded medical professionals.
• Calm, solutions-oriented, and decisive under pressure; able to quickly resolve scheduling emergencies and coverage gaps with minimal disruption to operations.
• Self-directed and highly reliable; comfortable working independently in a fully remote, always-on environment where consistent follow-through is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to engage effectively with a global team across email, phone, and video communication platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities with strong attention to detail; must remain organized and accurate under time-sensitive conditions.
• Must be accessible and responsive during off-hours on occasion to address urgent coverage gaps or scheduling emergencies given the 24/7/365 nature of VCR’s operations.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer; prolonged use of keyboard, mouse, and screen required.
