[Hiring] Transportation Representative, ATS Relay Ops @Amazon

Role Description

The Transportation Representative acts as the primary interface between Amazon and our external stakeholder partners such as carriers/transporters. A Trans Rep at RO facilitates the flow of information between different stakeholders (Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolves any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity.

The specialists are expected to:

• Identify concerns and work on troubleshooting delivery partner issues.
• Provide process improvement suggestions.
• Provide timely resolution to issues by researching and querying internal tools.
• Make real-time decisions.
• Understand requirements, analyze data, and notice trends to drive Customer Experience without compromising on time.
• Communicate clearly in written and oral form.
• Ideate process improvements and drive them to conclusion.
• Lead a team of L2’s in the shift and display leadership skills to help drive outcomes.

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Business, Planning, Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centres, Delivery stations) for adhoc/cancellations/delays or any other disruptions in the transportation network.
• Systematically escalate problems or variance in information and data to relevant owners and teams and follow through on resolutions.
• Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
• Effectively communicate in a clear and professional manner and quickly understand the business impact of trends.
• Demonstrate excellent time-management skills by providing real-time customer experience in a fast-paced operating environment.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
• Create narratives outlining weekly findings.

Qualifications

• Graduation in any specialization from a recognized university.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to concentrate and follow customer issues to resolution without distraction.

Requirements

• Logistics background and experience in a similar role (preferred).
