[Hiring] Site Manager @Blattner

Role Description

Blattner is expanding our energy construction leadership into gas power generation. This is a unique opportunity to help build this new business from the ground up, backed by a company with decades of proven success in the energy sector. This position will help us shape the processes and standards that carry this business forward to deliver end-to-end hybrid energy solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Risk Management:
  • Responsible for establishing safe working conditions and safety procedures on the project.
  • Understands and enforces company, federal, and state safety regulations on site.
  • Meets weekly with Trade Superintendents and Safety Coordinators to organize and plan safety processes.
  • Monitors and audits the utilization of best safety practices regularly.
  • Assists the Project Manager in setting the TRIR goal for the project site.
• Supervision:
  • Sets the direction for the project by collaborating with Trade Superintendents and General Superintendents.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other Site Managers and Directors in scheduling resources.
  • Provides formal quarterly coaching feedback to site supervision personnel.
  • Establishes and fosters continuous team building and mentoring efforts.
  • Ensures all technical training is accomplished prior to starting work.
• Strategic Partner Relations:
  • Utilizes professional demeanor while interacting with internal and external individuals.
  • Communicates and collaborates with owners regarding major project decisions.
  • Proactively engages all subcontractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders.
• Operations:
  • Coordinates teambuilding and site planning activities at project commencement.
  • Meets weekly with project supervisors to coordinate materials and subcontractors.
  • Conducts daily field visits to offer insight and ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Responsible for conducting close-out meetings with the Estimating Team at the conclusion of each phase of work.
• Financial:
  • Reviews the Superintendent Monthly Report with the Project Manager.
  • Ensures accurate tracking and reporting of quantities and costs.
  • Collaborates with the PM for timely submittal of invoices.
• Quality:
  • Provides oversight that project construction activities conform to specifications and quality plans.
  • Instills the philosophy that quality is the responsibility of each individual project employee.
  • Supports Quality initiatives for the betterment of the project and organization.

Additional Job Functions:

• Support economic conditions by hiring locally and attending public information meetings.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
• Attends job/career fairs to support the hiring of new employees.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Interpersonal Skills – Ability to supervise and present to a large number of employees.
• Working knowledge of equipment and their appropriate applications.
• Effective Communication Skills (oral, written, listening, presentation).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio).
• Excellent organizational, scheduling, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Accounting (math and record-keeping).
• Involved with and understands all disciplines of current project tasks.
• Must relocate to the project site for the duration of each construction project.
• May be required to become a qualified individual in pursuit of company contract licensing.

Benefits

• $138,661.00 - $201,059.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
