[Hiring] Production Primary Scheduler @Green Thumb

Role Description

The Primary Production Scheduler owns the master production schedule across pre-roll manufacturing and flower packaging, translating demand signals into executable daily and weekly plans. This role is the connective tissue between demand, inventory, materials, and production capacity, ensuring the right products are planned at the right time with the right resources in place. Equally important, the role leads the network of site-based Production Schedulers as a player-coach, building scheduler capability, standardizing how scheduling gets done across facilities, and driving continuous improvement of the scheduling function itself.

This is a critical leadership and operational role for a detail-oriented, systems-minded professional who thrives on bringing order to complexity and proactively solving scheduling challenges before they become production disruptions. The Primary Scheduler succeeds by elevating the schedulers around them, through coaching, standard work, and continuous improvement, so the scheduling function consistently delivers reliable, executable plans across every GTI site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, supply chain planning, or operations in a manufacturing environment; cannabis, food & beverage, pharma, or CPG preferred
• Demonstrated experience building and managing master production schedules in a multi-SKU, multi-line environment
• Familiarity with ERP, MES, or production scheduling systems; experience with demand planning tools a plus
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, pull-based scheduling, and WIP control concepts
• Demonstrated experience coaching, developing, and indirectly leading peer or subordinate schedulers, planners, or operators in a matrixed, dotted-line environment
• Continuous improvement experience; Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen credential a plus; track record of leading process standardization or value stream improvement projects across multiple sites
• Experience working cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams
• Must be 21 years of age or older and meet all state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry

• Comfortable navigating matrix relationships and indirect authority — able to lead site schedulers without a direct reporting line and influence GMs as peer partners

• The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role.
• Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
• Green Thumb Pay Range: $105,000 — $125,000 USD

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
• Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
• Primarily office-based with regular interaction with production floor teams across GTI sites.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent coordination across time zones and multiple facilities.
• Exposure to cannabis and/or allergens present in environments where cannabis is processed and prevalent.
• Schedule flexibility may be required during peak production periods or to support shift-level scheduling needs.
