[Hiring] Operations Manager @Hire Overseas

Role Description

We're looking for an Operations Manager to own the day-to-day delivery of US production, inventory, fulfilment, and logistics through an outsourced 3PL and co-manufacturing partner. This is a hands-on ownership role where you will:

• Set daily priorities and hold partners accountable to commitments.
• Resolve operational issues end to end.
• Provide accurate reporting and practical recommendations to the Operations Director.
• Manage a 3PL relationship, a co-manufacturer relationship, multi-channel fulfilment, inventory accuracy, and financial controls.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in fulfilment, logistics, inventory, or production.
• Experience managing outsourced 3PL and co-manufacturer relationships at a manager level.
• Evidence of independent ownership rather than just task execution.

Requirements

• Availability during US Eastern Time business hours.
• Regular calls with an Australia-based team during US late afternoon and evening.

What You'll Work On

• 3PL and Co-Manufacturing Partner Management
  • Lead the day-to-day relationship with the 3PL and co-manufacturer.
  • Align production and fulfilment priorities.
  • Report on dispatches, aged orders, production, stock, and risks.
  • Investigate missed commitments and drive recovery actions.
  • Escalate capacity gaps and stockout risks.
• Production and Quality
  • Turn the approved production plan into a daily and weekly schedule.
  • Track actual units by SKU and production date.
  • Keep production jobs and records accurate in Cin7.
  • Document quality complaints and verify corrective actions.
• Fulfilment and Logistics
  • Manage DTC, wholesale, Amazon, and retail fulfilment.
  • Keep PO versions and records current.
  • Resolve overdue and unscanned orders.
  • Confirm carrier handover and track domestic freight.
  • Review carrier performance and resolve delivery-window risks.
• Inventory and Systems
  • Keep records accurate in Cin7.
  • Coordinate stock counts and month-end reconciliations.
  • Reconcile Amazon stock with Cin7.
  • Resolve discrepancies across systems.
• Financial Controls
  • Check 3PL and co-manufacturing charges against approved rates.
  • Document late or incorrect orders and inventory losses.
  • Provide Finance with shipment costs and follow up on invoicing.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Improve recurring workflows to reduce errors.
  • Document procedures and verify automated outputs.
  • Analyse fulfilment and freight costs by channel.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer products across multiple channels.
• Background in organic, health, or beauty consumer goods.
• Experience with month-end operations reviews and KPI presentations.
