Role Description

The central Maintenance Section within the Technical Services Department manages technical building services and is responsible for maintenance and safety-related processes.

In this role, you will:

• Establish and expand the department, ensuring quality assurance and standardisation of all technical and safety-related processes.
• Oversee hotels in Southern Europe, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.
• Manage technical building services, optimise maintenance, and plan repair work as needed.
• Act as the point of contact for hotel technicians, providing training and optimising workflows.
• Ensure maintenance work, repairs, and installations are cost-effective, timely, and meet required standards.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, inspection deadlines, and health and safety requirements.
• Help draft service contracts, review terms, obtain quotes, and handle claims with insurance companies.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed an apprenticeship in building services engineering.
• Several years of professional and managerial experience in a similar field, ideally managing properties abroad.
• Enjoy being on the go and are keen on travelling.
• Good knowledge of building services engineering and control and measurement technology.
• Professional manner, loyalty, and integrity.
• Ability to solve problems independently and creatively, considering business implications.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong organisational skills.
• Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
