Role Description

The Dairy RNG Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance, reliability, and operational excellence functions to ensure safe, efficient and compliant plant operations. Handles highly sophisticated issues and serves as a hands-on leader who thrives in optimizing plant uptime and reliability. Consults with senior management to formulate and establish broad plans and maintenance procedures, takes direction from the Director, RNG Dairy Operations, and is self-motivated with the personal aim to lead people and issues safely and proactively.

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance, and performance of RNG plants.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and operational resource for multiple RNG facilities, providing guidance on complex operational issues and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies, objectives, and policies.
• Demonstrate initiative and leadership in resolving maintenance issues, supporting business objectives, and advancing performance goals.
• Coordinate the planning and scheduling of routine and preventative maintenance activities for plant equipment and infrastructure.
• Monitor maintenance activities and workforce resource allocation to ensure plant performance, safety, and compliance objectives are achieved.
• Work with plant operators, service providers, contractors, and other stakeholders to support efficient plant maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with company management to develop, manage, and monitor annual maintenance budgets for facilities.
• Provide input and recommendations regarding maintenance staffing needs, workforce planning, and contractor resource requirements.
• Verify that personnel performing work at assigned facilities meet applicable training, qualification, and certification requirements.
• Review maintenance reports, workforce metrics, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company requirements.
• Support the development of personnel and maintenance capabilities by providing technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge-sharing as appropriate.
• Assess plant operations, maintenance practices, and facility performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Perform or oversee equipment testing, analyze results, and develop corrective action plans to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Lead or support special projects focused on improving operational performance, safety, environmental compliance, and service quality.
• Monitor plant performance and maintenance activities to ensure adherence to company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, permits, and industry standards.
• Monitor and promote adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
• Manage relationships with third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers, including monitoring performance against contractual obligations and established service expectations.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of plant operations and maintenance experience in a RNG plant, power plant, or other chemical processing plant.
• 4+ years of management experience or proven leadership skills.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to plan and coordinate projects with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
• Knowledge of gas flow, instrumentation (4-20mA signals), PLC systems, and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available to travel up to 75% of the time and able to prioritize travel and decisions based on needs of the plants.
