Role Description

We are seeking a Virtual Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about addressing the current nationwide behavioral health crisis, while working on interdisciplinary treatment teams within an organization that is redefining the standard of comprehensive PHP/IOP care. You will play a pivotal role in a growing, mission-driven environment that accommodates provider autonomy to create innovative and individualized treatments for each patient. This role will be focused on our adult programming, which includes Mood & Anxiety, Mental Health and Substance Use, and OCD.

What You'll Do:

• Perform complete initial psychiatric evaluation on patient to determine diagnosis and develop plan of care including medication prescription, if indicated.
• Revise, prescribe, and implement therapeutic regimen using an interdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor patient progress and provide collaborative treatment and communication with the treatment team.
• Provide timely documentation of each encounter with a patient.
• Ensure patient/family education regarding clinical condition and relevant aspects of care.
• Work in collaboration with treatment team members to ensure quality of care and consideration of services.
• Maintain required level of continuing education and preferred development activities.
• Use interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain professional relations with patients, families, colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Licensed or possess the ability to obtain license as an Advance Practiced Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• ANCC National Board Certification in Psychiatry- PMHNP Certification.
• Prescriptive Authority.
• DEA license.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• DNP or MSN from an accredited Nursing Program.
• CPR certified.
• Experience with patients in crisis.
• 2-5 years’ experience prescribing.
• Experience with multiple specialties including mood and anxiety, mental health and substance use, OCD and complex anxiety, and trauma.
