Role Description

Athreon, a leader in transcription and scribing services, is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Scribes to support healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters asynchronously. This flexible, remote position allows you to work independently within defined deadlines, enabling providers to focus on delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient encounters based on audio or video recordings provided by healthcare providers.
• Prepare and update detailed notes, diagnostic results, and other relevant information within the provider’s EHR system.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Complete assigned tasks within agreed-upon turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a medical scribe or transcriptionist, preferably in dentistry, with proficiency in documenting complex medical encounters.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Cerner or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare workflows.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
