[Hiring] Utilization Management Team Lead @Florida Cancer Specialists

Role Description

• Monitor the daily work of Utilization Management (UM) Coordinators to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with the UM policies and procedures.
• Create, monitor and maintain various reports for the Utilization Management Coordinators and Supervisors.
• Review, research and resolve incoming inquiries from various entities, updating any information required in the appropriate system.
• Act as point of contact for questions, assistance and training to the UM team.
• Complete the training progress report with each trainee.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a business office setting.
• At least two (2) years prior experience in a Utilization Management Coordinator position is preferred.
• Experience obtaining authorizations, billing, and collections in a medical office or hospital setting is required.
• Must be experienced in Medical terminology and have a strong attention to detail.
• High degree of accuracy in dealing with authorization issues is required.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills needed to deal with a wide variety of personalities.
