[Hiring] Triage Registered Nurse @American Addiction Centers

Role Description

Part-time position (30 or 32 hours) with the following schedule details:

• Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.25
• Schedule: Part-time, either 3 (10 hour) shifts or 4 (8 hour) shifts.
• Day hours available.
• Every fourth weekend and holiday rotation.
• Candidate MUST have 2+ years' acute care experience (ED, Urgent Care, some ICU and Med/Surg will be considered) within the last 4 years to be considered.
• Remote work is NOT permitted from the following states: CA, CO, CT, HI, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA.

Major Responsibilities:

• Uses the nursing process and established protocols to assess patient needs telephonically.
• Determines appropriate level of care, provides education, and establishes a plan of care.
• Escalates and collaborates with on-call providers when additional guidance is needed.
• Prioritizes patient interactions by acuity and need.
• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety.
• Assesses patient and family readiness to learn and individualizes the approach as necessary.
• Supports shared governance activities to improve processes and outcomes.
• Participates in quality/process improvement initiatives.
• Engages in professional development and attends required meetings/educational programs.
• Demonstrates effective communication and promotes collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Promotes a culture of safety by identifying threats to patient safety.
• Applies ethical decision-making and participates as an effective team member.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
• Schedules appointments in correlation with protocol recommendations.
• Maintains and updates patient clinical records according to guidelines.
• Communicates patient status to the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Participates in team meetings and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Associate's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Nursing.
• Typically requires 2+ years' of acute care experience, preferably within the last 4 years (ED, Urgent Care, ICU, and some Med Surg will be considered).
