[Hiring] Transplant Patient Advocate @Getinge

Role Description

The Transplant Patient Advocate aids with transplant readiness, and overflow call support to Paragonix transplant partners. Advocates will:

• Answer, screen, and direct patient overflow calls according to provided transplant center workflow.
• Review EMR for transplant readiness and coordinate readiness needs to patients, coordinators, and physicians.
• Assist with training of new coordinators as directed by triage leadership.
• Collaborate on triage related quality initiatives.
• Provide triage support to transplant coordinator as directed by triage leadership.
• Maintain necessary training and credentials for Paragonix, hospital EMR, and OPTN computer systems.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills with both internal and external staff, relaying clear, concise, and pertinent clinical information.
• Be reachable by the designated call platform during their 12-hour call shift.
• Document transplant center response into the OPTN computer system in accordance with established automatic rule out criteria.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Established history working in high stress/customer interacting field.

Requirements

• Medical certificate program or state or national medical certification (i.e. EMT, MA, Phlebotomy, RT).
• Bachelor's degree in health science, general science, or equivalent experience in transplant related field.
