Role Description

The Telehealth Therapist provides the full range of therapeutic interventions to clients in a Mental Health IOP setting. This shall include, but not be limited to:

• Assessment and treatment services
• Family/relationship services
• Group process
• Educational presentations
• Treatment planning and review
• Documentation of services and client response
• Concurrent reviews
• Discharge planning
• Managed care contact as directed by designated staff

Therapists must demonstrate the knowledge and professional skills necessary to provide clinical care for substance abuse and co-occurring substance abuse clientele, as well as be able to maintain high standards of excellence in an ethical and trauma-informed setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required.
• At least one year’s training and/or clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in a behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment setting preferred.
• Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities preferred.
• Current Clinical licensure or associate/provisional licensure (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent) required.
• Dual licensure or certification in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment is preferred.
