[Hiring] Telehealth Care Navigator @Altro Health

Role Description

You'll work alongside our COO to keep clinical ops humming. You won't own the function — you'll be the extra set of eyes and hands that makes sure nothing slips.

• Execute clinical protocols — follow established clinical workflows for order processing, patient communication, and care coordination. Flag deviations early and escalate appropriately.
• Manage the daily order queue — monitor at-risk orders, coordinate with labs and pharmacies to keep fulfillment moving, and escalate before delays occur.
• Handle asynchronous patient messaging and phone line — triage inbound patient messages and respond in a warm, clinically-sound voice. You know when to answer, when to escalate, and when to loop in a clinician.
• Support internal care coordination — serve as the connective tissue between clinical, fulfillment, and partner teams as needed to provide clinical clarifications. Keep handoffs clean and nothing falling through the cracks.

Qualifications

• Clinically fluent. MA, LVN/LPN, RN, or clinical coordinator background. You've reviewed scripts, handled patient comms, and know when to escalate.
• 4+ years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in telehealth and async patient communication.
• Excellent written and spoken English — your tone and clarity matter. You'll be communicating directly with US-based patients and partners.
• Reliable in morning ET hours. This is non-negotiable — please don't apply if you can't work mornings New York time on weekdays.
• Comfortable with startup chaos. Tools change, processes are half-built, and you're fine with that. Bonus if you've worked at a concierge clinic, telehealth company, or DTC health startup.
• Detail-oriented. You catch issues early and document as you go.

Requirements

• Must be based in and work from the United States.
• Willing to sign a BAA and complete a background check before starting.
• Prior HIPAA training, or willing to complete it before starting.
• All patient communication stays in company systems.

Nice to have

• Professional Spanish fluency (spoken and written) — we serve a Spanish-speaking patient population and this is a meaningful differentiator.
• Experience with EHRs, telehealth platforms, or pharmacy/lab portals.
• Background in functional/longevity medicine, peptides, or hormone optimization.
• Customer service experience at a high-touch consumer brand.
• Weekend availability.

Logistics

• Location: US-based, remote.
• Hours: Approx. 30-35hrs/week, with morning availability Eastern Time required.
• Rate: $25-$40/hour, depending on experience.
• Classification: 1099 independent contractor.
