Role Description

Sentara Health is hiring a Supervisor, Patient Accounting to work full time days with the billing and client services department in the consolidated lab.

• Supervises assigned staff.
• Manages the day-to-day billing and collections (or reporting and audit) activities of assigned area.
• Participates in strategic planning for the department.
• Serves as a technical resource to team members, assisting with tasks as necessary.
• Communicates effectively with supervisor, staff, patients, third party payors, and others to resolve problems and/or concerns.

Qualifications

• High School education (required)
• Patient Financial Services - 2 years (required)
• Laboratory Billing (required)
• Medical Terminology (preferred)
• Customer Service
• Data Entry
• Epic Beaker (preferred)
