Role Description

Assists in the management and supervision of the BHSF Health Information Management department functions, ensuring efficient operation for all Baptist Health facilities.

• Use and Disclosure of Health Information
• Analysis of clinical documentation
• Record retrieval and Document Imaging
• MPI and TJC activities

Supervises between 15 and 30 FTES in a busy high volume environment with focus in quality and productivity to meet Health Information Management performance standards.

Serves as primary source of support for the Health System with:

• 8 Acute Care Hospitals
• All Baptist Outpatient Centers (over 50 locations)
• All Ambulatory Surgical Centers

Estimated salary range for this position is $55,137.29 - $71,678.48 / year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Degrees: Associates
• Associate/Bachelor in Health Information Management with a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA) certificate preferred
• At least three years supervisory experience in a large healthcare institution required
• Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, problem-solving and personnel management skills
• Knowledgeable in health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology
