Role Description

Works under close supervision to provide support to department(s) and perform duties which may be simple to moderately complex in nature.

This role will provide support for the Special Collections Library and University Archives as a remote intern. The project will be reviewing the transcripts for one of two collections produced by AI via the Sonix platform. The candidate will need to have strong attention to detail and basic research knowledge. The AI transcripts must be reviewed word for word manually in order to assure the highest accuracy for the lectures they are with.

• Performs a variety of duties to include, but are not limited to, basic administrative and service related functions.
• May assist staff with day to day operations.
• May participate in basic to moderately complex projects as requested by supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or able to provide proof of enrollment in high school or institute of higher education.
• May be required to have specific field of study or education according to assigned area.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are necessary for this position.
• Experience with transcription services is preferred but not required.
• Strong internet connection and reliable headphones are necessary.

Requirements

• Security-sensitive position subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
