Role Description

The James Clinical Call Center Triage RN is responsible to be the primary responder to manage telephone calls within the defined scope of practice as established by the Ohio Board of Registered Nursing for established James patients. The responsibilities include:

• Completing an initial call assessment and triaging the call based on the assessment.
• Using established triage algorithms to guide the assessment and interventions.
• Documenting the assessment and management of the call into the organizational electronic medical record.
• Following up and assisting in resolving post-discharge or post-procedure calls that require additional intervention after the initial call is completed.
• Acting as the clinical resource for James scheduling staff for referral-based needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Three years of oncology experience required.

Requirements

• Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
• A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
