[Hiring] Specialty Pharmacy Technician @UnitedHealth Group

Role Description

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

• Interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system
• Answering incoming calls and completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians, and pharmacists
• Ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity
• Working within multiple computer systems simultaneously to respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information
• Maintaining proficiency and quality as standardized by the department

This role is equally challenging and rewarding, requiring you to deliver important, sometimes life-saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Schedule: 8-hour shift between 7am - 7pm CST, Monday - Friday with possibility of weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current Pharmacy Technician state license in state of employment without restrictions
• 1+ years of pharmacy prescription processing experience
• 1+ years of experience with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Ability to work between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday
• Reside in one of the following states: Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Texas

Requirements

• Specialty pharmacy experience (preferred)
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or NHA) (preferred)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
• Telecommuting is not to be used as a substitute for children or dependent care
