Role Description
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The role involves:

Performing varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

Conducting computations and working on semi-routine assignments.

Contacting physicians for prescription clarification and entering prescription orders into the system.

Ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs to optimize health outcomes.

Making decisions focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.

Working within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards.

Following standard policies/practices with some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Qualifications

Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license with the Board of Pharmacy in the state you reside.

Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or inbound and/or outbound phone experience.

Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, including use of multiple computer applications simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong data entry skills.
Requirements
-
Training: Virtual training starts on day one of employment and will run for the first few weeks with a schedule of either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM OR 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern, Monday - Friday.

Work Schedule Following Training: Monday β Friday 9:00 AM β 5:30 PM EST.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
