Role Description
Due to growth, we are adding a Specialist, Clinical Services Support to our team. The Specialist, Clinical Services Support is a pharmacy technician that provides non-clinical technical, administrative, and workflow support to pharmacists and clinical services teams. This position supports documentation, data entry, task and queue management, prescription-related processing activities, and care coordination activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable pharmacy regulations. This role also supports service recovery activities by coordinating cross-functional, non-clinical resolution of escalated prescription, access, order, scheduling, logistics, and service-related issues from intake through completion, while escalating clinical or pharmacist-only activities as appropriate.
Responsibilities

Maintain assigned work queues, tasks, and documentation activities to support timely completion of clinical services workflows.

Process prescription-related updates, data entry, and non-clinical follow-up activities within the scope of technician practice and established procedures.

Support medication transition workflows by coordinating standardized operational steps, documentation, outreach, and follow-up activities.

Coordinate non-clinical communication with patients, providers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to obtain or relay information needed to advance care workflows.

Support resolution of non-clinical prescription, benefit, documentation, and workflow hand-off items to promote continuity of service.

Serve as part of a service recovery team by coordinating timely, end-to-end follow-up on escalated non-clinical issues across internal workstreams, supporting resolution and ensuring appropriate hand-offs through completion.

Review and update assigned system alerts, assessments, and program-related records in accordance with department standards.

Document activities accurately in applicable systems to support visibility, compliance, and continuity across clinical programs.

Identify items requiring pharmacist review and escalates clinical, regulatory, or judgment-based decisions according to established workflows.

Contribute to workflow standardization, process consistency, and operational efficiency within clinical services programs.

Maintain working knowledge and perform core specialty pharmacy technician functions across operational areas, including intake, billing, prior authorization support, medication access, fulfillment, and related workflows.

Serve as a cross-functional resource by applying advanced operational knowledge to resolve complex workflow issues and support activities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) required.

3+ years of experience performing pharmacy technician, specialty pharmacy, clinical support, care coordination, administrative healthcare, or related operational support activities required.

Pay Range
USD $21.05 - USD $25.06 /Hr.
