Role Description

As our Scheduler/Pre-Registrar, you will efficiently manage incoming phone calls and fax requests to schedule outpatient tests, thereby ensuring a seamless experience for our valued patients.

• Every day you will meticulously complete the pre-registration of scheduled patients.
• Verify that all valid provider orders are accurately obtained, contributing to the smooth operation of our services.
• Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in scheduling and pre-registration.
• Maintain an unwavering commitment to patient satisfaction.
• Maintain scheduling system: ensures schedule is up-to-date with no conflicting appointments.
• Perform pre-registration process through timely, accurate, and courteous completion of patient clinical and financial data by telephone.
• Accurately schedule patient exams in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of medical insurances and the financial responsibility for the patient.
• Check insurance eligibility.
• Responsible for all incoming lines, handle numerous specialty calls, and initiate calls to providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Office experience in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD 10 codes.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

• One (1) year previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience (preferred).
