Role Description

The Registered Nurse Virtual Care is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing virtual nursing care to a diverse population of patients across OSF through technology in their home environment. The role includes:

• Proactive monitoring, prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care to optimize quality of life for patients at home.
• Utilizing critical thinking, evidenced-based care, and clinical decision support to guide practice.
• Ongoing communication and collaboration with all care team members, patients, and families.
• Acting as a patient advocate and resource to other health care providers.
• Demonstrating service excellence and accountability through cost-effective and efficient provision of care.

Chronic illness experience preferred. The team serves the Pediatric Respiratory Virus population, Post-Hospital Discharge support program, and will be rolling out the Adult Respiratory Virus program later this year.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree
• 3 years of recent RN experience
• RN licensure in IL required before hire
• Michigan License required within 6 months of hire
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications, electronic EMR, and digital communication platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

Benefits

• Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour
• This includes a $3.25/hr weekend differential
• Actual pay is based on years of licensure
• This is an Hourly position
• Fully-remote after the onsite training and orientation period (2-3 weeks)
