Role Description

The RN Health Coach – Virtual at Evernorth Workplace Care will help our patients by:

• Providing customer coaching and support, focusing on stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges.
• Performing stress, anxiety, and depression screening.
• Identifying customer health education needs through targeted health assessment activities.
• Referring customers to other Cigna Evernorth clinical programs or client-specific programs as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborating with customers to establish health improvement plans, set personalized evidence-based goals, and support customers in achieving those goals.
• Empowering customers to become active participants in their own health outcomes.
• Assisting customers in overcoming barriers to better health.
• Leading and supporting a variety of health and wellness promotional activities, such as group coaching, wellness challenges, and health-related seminars.
• Utilizing biometric values and motivational interviewing techniques to collaborate with customers to drive improved clinical outcomes.
• Collaborating with matrix partners to support the overall health and wellness strategy for aligned clients.
• Understanding and owning a variety of clinical targets and outcome measurements.
• Developing action plans that drive clinical value for customers and clients.
• Providing support in training or mentorship of new employees as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills with at least 1 or more years of experience in health coaching, health education, and health promotion.
• RN required with an active, unrestricted license in the respective state, and ability to maintain.
• Compact license or additional state licenses may be required, with ability to maintain.
• Current ACLS/BLS/CPR/AED Certification.
• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• High-speed internet and quiet office space in a dedicated home office.
• High energy level, with dynamic presentation skills.
• Positive role model in demonstrating healthy behaviors.
• Passion for health improvement.
• Ability to work independently.
• Customer-centric focus.
• Ability to proactively collaborate professionally with the client and other matrix partners.
• Proven administrative abilities, with strong computer and software application skills.
• May support early or later hours depending on customer needs.

Requirements

• Behavioral Health experience, including stress reduction (bonus points).
• Master’s degree in psychology or related field (preferred).
• Chronic Disease Management experience (bonus points).
• NBHWC (National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach).
• Motivational interview training/experience (bonus points).
