Role Description

Part-Time Triage RN Community Hospice

The Community Hospice has a wonderful opportunity for an RN to work as part of our Hospice Care Team triaging symptom management calls for patients and families.

• 24 hours per week - shifts: days and evenings
• This is a remote position, but must have an employee who lives locally for training and in the event that working in the office is needed.

What you will do:

• Respond to phone calls from our patients and/or caregivers during hours when the office is closed.
• Coordinate with our on-call team to provide end-of-life care and support.

Qualifications

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
• Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
• 1-2 years recent experience as an RN required. Homecare RN experience is strongly preferred
• Previous hospice experience preferred but NOT required
• Ability to actively listen and respond appropriately to patients/families as well as to support patient/families through times of crisis

Benefits

• Pay Range: $38.00-$50.18
• Pay is based on experience, skills, and education
• Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates
• The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
